Enjoy Gaudí

Swasky

I had always wanted to visit Gaudí's main architectural projects, most of them located in and around Barcelona, so last summer I decided to go ahead and do it..

Sagrada Família

Nina Johansson

I love Barcelona, it´s a fantastic city. I have always been fascinated by Gaudi´s amazing architecture, above all by the Sagrada Família, but I never really got a good look at it.

Catalan Cuisine

Juliet Pomés Leiz

I was delighted to revisit familiar smells like those of roasted peppers and aubergines, a classic combination in Catalan cuisine and a flavour that transports me to the best of my childhood family meals.

Catalan Wine Landscapes

Swasky

I have been drawing throughout the Catalan wine landscapes while travelling with my family in our old Citroën C15 van. We have been to renowned cellars, visited charming villages, met people devoted to wine and climbed mountains full of vines. Don't hesitate to take your car to see all the Catalan DO (Designation of Origin) areas and enjoy typical food and delightful wines.

Barcelona Travel Notebook

Sagar

I started sketching “moments” because capturing time seemed the most important thing to me. This is possibly why I concentrate on light; the most ephemeral aspect of the places we illustrate.

Modernisme beyond Gaudí

Lapin

I first declared my love for the city by publishing the book « Barcelona m’inspira », a compilation of discoveries, portraits, old shops and skylines. Now I would like to celebrate my favourite style by dedicating this book to Art Nouveau in Barcelona, beyond Gaudí already well-known buildings.
I invite you to pass by the Palau de la Música, the Parc de la Ciutadella or the Hospital de Sant Pau. Enjoy your visit!

This is El Born

Juliet Pomés Leiz

Juliet has revisited El Born, where she had her studio for years. The web of its streets, the medieval palaces, Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, its human scale… all invites to explore and sketch.
